Cincinnati-based marketer of beauty care products seeks an Assistant Innovation Manager for new product marketing. Dynamic, growing company enjoys worldwide success with popular brands. New, visible position within company. Report to Innovation Manager. 10+ marketing staff for hair care products. Fast paced company has open collaborative culture and good benefits, including tuition reimbursement. Relocation package offered.
Qualifications:
B.A. in marketing or related field required, MBA preferred.
Prior marketing experience with a global brand, including 3+ years of progressively responsible brand management experience
Hair care or beauty experience strongly preferred
Must have some exposure to new product development process and experience with global brands. Innovation experience, not re-launch of existing products or line extensions, ideal.
Demonstrated ability to see the big picture, be creative and work at a strategic level
Experience managing a budget
Demonstrated ability with financials, P&L growth, strategic thinking, and leadership in a cross-functional environment
Strong communication skills
Excellent interpersonal/collaboration/relationship building skills
Results-driven
Creative, innovative, entrepreneurial professional with fresh ideas.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Innovation Manager will work closely with the Innovation Manager for haircare to identify and develop new brands, products and segments 2-5 years out. Get products to market in 1-2 years or less, with initial focus on 2010 launches. Includes new concepts & product development, global marketplace analysis, P&L business case development, global volumetric forecasting, budget management, and sales analysis for a specific brand.
To be successful, candidate should have entrepreneurial mindset and be ready to take on the responsibility of a hands-on role. Some domestic travel.
